Morgan Freeman UPDATE-Discharged From Hospital and Divorcing
August 7, 2008
Morgan Freeman Has Been Separated From His Wife Since December of 2007

Baby Boomers, Morgan Freeman was discharged today from the hospital. He was injured in an automobile accident on Monday en~route to his home when the car he was driving became airborne, flipped end to end and finally landed in a ditch. Demaris Meyer, 48, of Memphis and a passenger in the car driven by Freeman, was also injured in the crash. Both were flown by helicopter to the hospital.
His injures required surgery. He broke his elbow, arm, and had shoulder damage.
Morgan freeman and his current wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley~Lee, have been separated since December of 2007. And per his attorney, they are in the process of getting a divorce. Even though there are no records of papers being filed in his home county of Tallahatchie.
That was a quick recovery Morgan…get well soon! You are one of my favorite actors.

Shawshank Redemption is my favorite Morgan Freeman film.

When I heard the news about Morgan Freeman I couldn’t help thinking about the dark cloud hanging over the actors of The Dark Night. The other guy committed suicide and now Freeman gets injured. What next?
He is one of my favorite actors….You know their lives are not normal. No matter how they appear. Living in the make believe world of Hollywood takes its toll. Money isn’t everything…is it???? Ohwell so we won’t be rich and famous…eh? carol stanley author of “For Kids 59.99 and Over”
You are so right…even still, there are many actors and actresses that do not get divorced.
Still…movie stars are human and many times, one person changes and the other does not. I think this is what makes up the majority of divorce problems. Still 24 years is a long time to be married to any one and person in this day and age. We live in a world of disposible bottles and relationships.
One never knows what goes on behind closed doors.
At 71 and starting your life all over again. That could be a challenge even for someone who is rich and famous.
I wish all the best and am just glad, that it is not me.

WOW Bev…I almost missed your comment…pretty crazy day, today.
Bev you really don’t think that kind of mumbo~jumbo is true do you??? It sounds like a publicity hipe/stunt to me. OOOUUUUuuuuu a dark cloud….OOOUUUUuuu LOL
I used to have an advertising firm and the saying went “even bad publicity is good publicity.” If your name isn’t out in the public, you are treading water, at best!
Good to see you again…I will be by to see your blog real soon!
Baby Boomers, Bev has a great blog (actually more than one…) called BabyBoomerNation, when you get a chance go on by.
Right now, I am keeping my eye on this Ruskie war. If that happened here in the states…everyone would be livid! And you know how Uncle Sam loves a good war…all of those old cronies make money when there is a war! Or they don’t start
one! They haven’t finish one that I could/can remember.
Southern Smiles and WORLD PEACE!!!!
