Mini Bovines Become Backyard Pets, Milk Suppliers and Beef Favorites

September 5, 2008

Mini Cows Become Popular In British Backyards and Spreading To The U.S.

The British have found a way to beat high prices, cloned beef and get milk in the long run…Hundreds of families across Britain and now in the U.S. are raising miniature cattle in their backyards. Protesting the rise of meat products and bi-products. Possibly skirting the Mad Cow epidemic in Britain? These mini bovines are the winning ticket!

Now called “house farmers,” house farmers have reported that the Mimi Moo Cows offer a way for households to save money on foods in the long run. They offer quality meat and are basically care free as long as you have grass for them to graze.

Mini cattle species were initially bred in the Emerald Isles of Ireland during the 1800’s. Plus, miniature cows are able to supply an entire household with milk for a year.

Personally, I don’t know who anyone could eat these cute mini moo cows…as you know Baby Boomers, I do not eat red meat. They would turn into pets for me, with names, they would multiply, I wouldn’t be able to part with them and soon I would be buying more land for them to “simply graze on.”
