OK Baby Boomers, you are going to think I have flipped…but that is what I want you to do.

You do not need expensive equipment to look, feel, and be healthier. All you need to do, is to do a HEADSTAND.

And sometimes viewing the world from a different angle, is a good thing.

Here are some benefits of doing HEADSTANDS

  • Increases brain function, because it give the brain fresh nutrients, blood and oxygen. Baby Boomers, who can’t use more thinking power, clarity, memory, concentration, and sensory faculties. Brain tissues will not degenerate with regular headstands.
  • Better respiratory system. Deep breathing in a headstand, creates healthier lung tissue, making a better respiratory system
  • Reduces facial wrinkles, do headstands a lot and you have a natural ‘face lift’
  • As far as your musculoskeletal systemgoes, headstands will strengthens the spine, neck, shoulders and arms. PLUS, the muscular system of the abdomen and legs get toned.
  • Gives you a stronger immune system
  • A balanced nervous system. An ischemic stroke will never occur if you do regular headstands. That ought to get you upside down!
  • Thicker hair and fewer grays. It increases blood supply and nutrients to the hair follicles in your scalp. Balding also be prevented or slowed…remember Herman on the Munsters?
  • A healthier lymphatic system. Detoxing the whole body by draining the lymphatic fluid.
  • Prevents the occurrence of atherosclerotic disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other diseases of the nervous system. So, senile changes in the brain are prevented and it calms the brain, helps relieve stress and depression.
  • Balances hormones and your endocrine system. In a nut shell, “better sex.”
  • Combats depression by re-balancing the adrenal glands making physical and emotional health improved. (who could be depressed standing on your head?)
  • Better circulation, giving the heart a break, thus reducing heart strain.
  • Cleans your digestive system, flushing out congested blood and toxins.New, warm blood will invigorate the cells and can help you overcome problems with your kidneys, stomach, liver, intestines and reproductive system.

Just a simple headstand…no batteries or expensive equipment is needed for all of these wonderful benefits. Are you on your head yet??? You can do headstands anywhere and any time. But I would start the day off with them.

I used to do a ton of headstands when I was younger! I was in gymnastics and we used to have headstand contests. Now that I know its a good thing, I’ll have to start up again!
