CSI Chooses Lawrence Fishburne to Replace William Peterson

August 18, 2008

Long running “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” has solved it’s own mystery of who will replace departing CBS series superstar William Petersen. They have chosen Laurence Fishburne.

Fishburne, who is a Baby Boomer (age 47) and an Emmy and Tony winner, will come on the show in the ninth episode of CSI’s 10th season. He will portray a forensics scientist with a “secret.” He will be a college lecturer and former pathologist who is focused on why people commit acts of violence. And I just bet there is some deep connection with “murder” and the character that Fishburne plays.

Baby Boomers, there is no news yet for when Petersen’s final episode is, but he will remain a “CSI” executive producer. The word is, that his CSI personality is going to be re~evaluating his life after some “personal turmoil” and his career of being a high profile CSI agent. I guess even a profiler gets burn put.

I think Laurence Fishburne is a multifacted actor/director. He should be great for this part and I can’t wait to see the new character on CSI…maybe, I will even buy a TV.
