About

Hello Baby Boomers, Family and Friends,
I wanted to take some time to share a bit about me but first I want to thank you for
helping to make Baby Boomer Advisor Club a success.
My name is Sharon and some know me around the web as The Baby Boomer Queen. I thought it
was catchy and it helps when marketing :^).
Most of my life I have been in Florida and Texas. Now Texas sure is a funny place …Texas two stepping, everyone carrying guns and driving pickup trucks. BUT, what can I say…as the song goes…”All my X’s live in Texas!”
And Florida…do you ever get the sand out of everything??? My Mother always said that once you get sand under your feet, you will never want snow between your toes! I don’t think I could live in a cold climate. It gives me shivers just thinking about it.
Now, I prefer small towns…but I am looking forward to that tropical Island!
Sitting here now day dreaming about…good looking, tanned men, fanning me with palm fronds, bringing me tropical drinks, and feeding me bon~bons! Could it get any better??? I think not!
My family traveled when I was young, so I have lived in many places and states. Some of the places I’d like to visit are Monte Carlo, the Figi Islands, Athens, and Cairo,Egypt.
In case you were curious…and I know you areeeeeeeeee….. lol
My favorite foods are…chocolate…seafood…all veggies and fruits, but NOT radishes!
I perfer pie over cake and my favorite pie is Strawberry Rhubarb, I can make a pie crust that will melt in your mouth and I will be sharing with you some of my great recipes and one day I will have a cookbook out there in Cyberland.
Favorite movies…Out of Africa, The Wizard of OZ, and all of the Godzilla movie…did you catch that one with Raymond Burr???
Things I do for fun…
At one time, in Texas, I had cafes and a tea room. I love to cook…and you should always
do what you love to do! That makes it a labor of love. Now, deserts are my favorite. I think it is because I have a sweet tooth!
I will be posting some of my great recipes on my blog…so just go to “RECIPES” to get them…by the way, a Recipe book is in the making…they say write about what you know and darlin’ I do know food! We have been friends for a long time.
I love animals…all kinds but squirrels, gerbils, hamsters and rats! I would love to have a ZOO. At one time I even worked for the Houston Zoo, raising money for the Monkey Habitat. Aren’t monkeys the cutest things you ever saw…!?!? They crack me up!
I love to read! by the time I was out of grammar school I had read two sets of encyclopedias.
Now, I have my computer and it has taken the place of encyclopedias! Unfortunately, I think that libraries and books will soon be out date one day. Dean Koontz is one of my favorite writers. He is so biarzzar and usually has a animal lurking somewhere…as they do have a sixth sense.
All that reading did not make me the best speller (FYI). I hope that you will over look my typing and spelling NON skills…just know that all acts of a post are a labor of love, with me.
OH yes…DON’T forget shopping! I can shop until I drop!
As a child…
I was a hyper child…my Mother would hook a line up to the clothes line and put a harness on me and let me wear myself out…now don’t gasp! At least she didn’t give me drugs, like a lot of parents are doing now.
She taught me to sew on a sewing machine when I was five, how to cook and gave me the love of music and art. For this I will always be in her debt. I wish she was still alive so I could tell her again.
My Father always said I should be a designer…and it is amazing that I turned out to be a Milliner [that is a person who makes and designs hats]. All of my hats were different and made for different reasons and people…perhaps that is the reason I love making them so much…each is for a different person, head, attitude or occassion. They enable me to use that bizzare creativity that I do not use on a regular basis. I would love to make hats for Vegas shows. I dream hats…think hats and make hats! I have always loved and worn HATS!
OH yes…as an after thought I just wanted to remind you that I STILL MAKE AND DESIGN HATS. Now it is for the few and not the many….but if you need a special hat for the Derby, church, wedding or special event you need to contact me. My hats are on heads and stands all over the world. I specialize in the bizzare and the unusual. Would you expect anything else? I think not!
What I would do if money was not a factor…
As with most people, I would travel.
Most of my life I was a work acholic. And travel is what I would prefer to do. I want my home base to be an Island. Wouldn’t you just love to run away from it all!?!?!?
So, expect some information on travel…
And I want to make so much money that I am able to send money to places [like Kenya] where there is no water or food. There, men have been taken and killed. As their women look on and their children starve and die from disease and hunger. This breaks my heart.
I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about me. In the end, I’m a real person just trying to enjoy life.
Thanks again for stopping by my blog and email me if I can help you with anything. Isn’t that what it is all about???
Sincerely…
Southern smiles and world peace,
Sharon
