SHAFT…right on Baby…
August 10, 2008 the world lost Issac Hayes Jr. Better known to most Baby Boomers as “Shaft.”
Had he lived till August 20th 2008, he would have been 66 years young.
He was an American soul and funk singer~songwriter, musician, record producer, arranger, composer, actor a noted humanitarian and of course a Baby Boomer.
He leaves behind 12 children, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and all of his fans. All of which will miss him.
This You Tube is from the up coming Movie, “Soul Men,” with Samuel E. Jackson and Bernie Mac, who we also lost this week.
I hope you enjoy it.
It is how I want to remember him. With his music. Watch him as he sings and conducts “The Theme from Shaft.”

Recently you helped me support Brenda Martin the Canadian Woman who was being held in a Mexican Jail with due process. I thank you for that.
This past weekend I happen by chance to meet her live and in person.
I said you look familiar………..her reply “I’m Brenda Martin the prison lady” hmmmmm
I responded that I had garnered a several Bloggers around the world to sign petitions for her to help bring support for her now questionable plight.
One has to realize that she was brought home to Canada in a private Jet paid for with Canadians hard earned tax dollars. A private Jet usually reserved for Canadian members Government staff and the Canadian Prime Minister.
She apparently was very well dressed for a casual venue she was in attendance at.
She could not even take the time to thank me properly. Personally I found this to be thoughtless and lacking in gratitude. It is my understanding that there are plans to make a movie out of her ordeal this too I am beginning to find somewhat
questionable. Just how much money will she stand to gain from this.
There is a web site called Small Dead Animals where they all feel like they have been “Hood Winked” by her and quite frankly I am thinking of joining their opinion.
Please know that I am grateful for your support however I am now questioning whether or not I have done the right service and would like to offer my apologies for any waste of time I may or may not have bestowed upon you and your readers.
