Temptations Singer Otis “Damon” Harris Has Died

BBAC is sad to report that we have lost another Baby Boomer great-Temptations Singer Otis “Damon” Harris Has Died at the age 62, from prostate cancer. He was fighting his disease, which takes so many of our men for 14 years. Harris died at Joseph Richey Hospice on Monday.
Damon Harris, a native of Baltimore, was a former member of The Temptations who sang on the group’s 1972 hit “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.” At the age of 21, Harris joined the group in 1971, after Eddie Kendricks, one of the original lead singers of the group, left.
Harris sang with the Temptations until 1975. During this time, The Temptations won three Grammy awards with Harris’s strong voice to hits like ”Take a Look Around” and “Masterpiece.”
