A short circuit or mattress fire may have sparked the blaze, as a Honduras Prison Fires Kills 272 And Injures 105 Inmates.
The fire has forced the President of Honduras to have officials review prison overcrowding, electrical wiring in Comayagua, Honduras.
One of the worst tragedies of its kind in decades in Latin America, has finally forced attention on the poor conditions of prisons in that region.
The fire started before 11 p.m. Tuesday (12 a.m. Wednesday ET) in a minimum-security prison in Comayagua, Honduras, about 40 miles northwest of the capital, Tegucigalpa. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Guardian reports that the Honduras prison fire killed at least 350 inmates and the head of prisons denies there was riot in jail where firefighters reported that inmates were burned and suffocated in locked cells

The sad thing is men didn’t have a chance to get out because the guards ran for their lives and they had the keys for the doors to unlock them.
What makes it worse one or more prisoners were either smoking or burning their beds and the building is made of wood so it started burning and didn’t stop burning and that makes it even worse.
MAY GOD GIVE THE PRISONERS AND THEIR FAMILIES THE STRENGTH TO GO THROUGH THIS REALLY TOUGH TIME NOW AND FOR ALL TIME AS I AM SURE HE WILL!!!
This is a horrible thing that happened. I can not think of a worst death, than burning to death or dying from smoke and not being able to breath.
