This is a very easy Kitty Krackers Recipe-Cat crackers or animal cracker recipe. What ever it is that you want to call them-this is really simple and quick to make.

I made this recipe and my dog went bonkers for it. Granted she is a food mongrel–and she does love fish–but still, I think she is an excellent judge of Animal Crackers.

First, turn your oven on to 350 degrees and let’s get crack’n on those pet crackers.

Round up the ingredients, that way you never forget to put something in.

INGREDIENTS for Homemade Cat Treats For The Puppy Bowl-Cat Crackers Or Animal Crackers

• 6 ounces of un-drained tuna {give the juice to your pet…}
• 1 cup cornmeal
• 1 cup wheat flour

IMPORTANT NOTE: I use whole wheat flour, as white flour is BLEACHED with–you guessed it BLEACH. POISON!

• 1/3 cup water

• If you have not already, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
• Measure all of the ingredients into a bowl
• Take your rings off and mix thoroughly with your hands.
• Dusting your board with wheat flour, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness (about the size of a nickel)
• Cut into treat sized pieces ( using a pizza cutter, makes it easy be creative make squiggly lines)
• Place on a greased cookie sheet
• Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden
• Keep an eye on them after 15 minutes, they can burn quick or dry out completely
• Let cool

WALAAAAAAAAAA that is all there is to it-taste them-they are good.

And the BEST part is there are NO preservatives in your animal crackers and you KNOW what is in your dogs or cats food or treats.

I do not give my dog regular store food any more. I make her food. Don’t get me going on that issue! Since there are no regulations on pet food.

If your critters get tired of Tuna…do mackerel, sardines or salmon-try cheese or some other food flavor that they, or you like.

Remember, love your pets, do not have to feed them that animal crackers from the stores.
