14 Pound Baby Boy Born In Iowa

It was almost a 14 Pound Baby Boy Born In Iowa, when Kendall and Joshua Stewardson entered the birthing unit at Mercy Medical Center on Thursday. The Stewardson family was expecting a big baby, but not a little giant.
Their baby would be the biggest naturally born baby at Mercy Medical Center, which has around 5000 babies delivered each year.
This is the second child for the Stewardson’s. Their first baby “Judah” weighed 12 pounds. But Asher weighed 13 pounds and 12.4 ounces and was twenty-three and a half inches long. Asher was also believed to have been 9 days late.

This giant baby was born natural, and it took a little over 6 hours of labor and pushing to get little Asher to come out and join his family and the world.
National Council of Health Statistics says that only 1 in 1000 newborns weighs more than 11 pounds.
BBAC send Congratulations to the Stewardson family, on their new addition.
