In from Peru, Joran van der Sloot Sentenced For Stefany Flores Murder. The taking of a life can never be replaced, so is 28 years a long enough sentence for Van der Sloot?

The three judges that heard the Stefany Flores murder case, gave  Joran van der Sloot a 28 year sentence, expelled him from Peru at the end of his sentence, and ordered him to pay 200,000 Peruvian new soles, around $74,500, in reparations to Flores’ closest relatives.

Since he has been in jail for over two years, with time served, Joran van der Sloot will be released in the year 2038.

That will make him 50 years old when he is released. Van der Sloot was visibly upset at the sentencing. Did he think that he was going to get a free ride because he confessed? What it did do was save his murdering hide.

The three judges stated that, “they took his confession into account, but they still gave him a sentence two years short of the 30-year maximum.”

They gave him his life, which is more than he gave Stefany Flores, when she was only 21 years old, he took her life. Snuffed it out with his bare hands, by strangling her.

Van der Sloot confessed to murder and robbery-admitting that he stole Flores’ belongings, including 850 soles (more than $300), credit cards, and the victim’s van as a means to leave the country. After he killed Miss Flores, the filthy murderer fled to Chile and was arrested a few days later.

Van der Sloot is also wanted for extortion by America, and is believed by many, to be the suspect in the Alabama’s, Natalee Holloway disappearance, in 2005.
