Excedrin and Bufferin Recall

Excedrin and Bufferin Recall are once again the subject of a recall.
According to Novartis, it is a voluntary recall because “‘stray pills from other Novartis products’ are being put in the wrong package.”
An internal investigation also found evidence of “broken gelcaps and chipped tablets.
Novartis estimates that the recall and processing upgrades will cost $120 million.
Baby Boomers, can you imagine how much these companies make off over the counter drugs and even then, they are shipping out inferior products?
The pharmaceutical company Novartis did a Sunday voluntarily recalled on several of their over the counter drugs, including certain bottles of Excedrin and Bufferin. This action was the result of complaints about mislabeled and broken pills.
Novartis has urged U.S. consumers to “either destroy or return unused” products that are part of the recall.
Excedrin and Bufferin Recall Products
The items involved in the voluntary recall include:
* Excedrin
* NoDoz products with expiration dates of December 20, 2014, or earlier
* Bufferin
* Gas-X Prevention products with December 20, 2013, or earlier expiration dates.
According to Novartis, “they are taking this action as a precautionary measure, because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules or caplets from other Novartis products, or contain broken or chipped pills.”
Novartis has decided to suspend operations at, and shipments from, the Lincoln, Nebraska, facility, “to accelerate maintenance” and make other improvements, adding that it currently “is not possible” to determine when the plant will reopen.

Nothing seems to go well for these drug industry people except getting people hooked on pain medications they are great at that.
Yes Carol, I am with you on that—it seems that pharmaceutical companies will be the ruination of us in the end. Over one million people a year are killed by pharmaceutical companies. More than illegal street drugs. What does that tell you?
I go homeopathic as much as possible.
