Joran Van der Sloot UPDATE:Stefany Flores Murder Trial Is Delayed

In from Peru, the latest Joran Van der Sloot UPDATE:Stefany Flores Murder Trial Is Delayed until January 15th 2012, because Van der Sloot requested more time before entering a plea.

According to CNN, there was great speculation before the trial started, that Joran Van der Sloot’s defense was expected to start with him pleading guilty.

Most Americans still feel that Van der Sloot, is still the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of the American, Alabama teenager, Natalee Holloway, in Aruba.

At current, he is charged with first-degree murder and robbery for the May 2010, murder of Stefany Flores, who was only 21 at the time of her murder.

Miss Flores was found dead in Van der Sloot’s hotel room in Lima, Peru on June 2, 2010, by the hotel staff.

Peruvian prosecutors are seeking a 30-year prison sentence and $73,000 restitution for Stefany Flores‘ family. They allege Van der Sloot’s main motive was robbery, but turned into a homicide.

It is believed that Joran Van der Sloot plans to plead guilty to all charges in the Stefany Flores murder case. His attorney stated that “the intention would be for Van der Sloot to give a ‘sincere confession,’ which could qualify him for a more lenient sentence under Peruvian law.”

 

Stefany Flores was Murdered May 30th, 2010, which just happened to be (or was it) exactly five years after Natalee Holloway disappeared, in Aruba. The Alabama teenagers remains have never been recovered.

To date, Van der Sloot was never officially charged in her disappearance.

America is waiting to expedite the possible serial Dutch murder, Joran Van der Sloot , he is indicted in America on charges that he extorted $25,000 from Natalee Holloway‘s parents. Prosecutors state that, “In exchange for the money, he promised to reveal how Holloway died and the location of her body.”

Joran Van der Sloot’s trial will begin at 10:00 a.m., on January 15th, in Lima’s Lurigancho prison near the Castro Castro prison. In Peru, three judges will preside over the Stefany Flores murder trial. There will be no jury, unlike American’s judicial system. Van der Sloot is not expected to plead until Wednesday.
