Kabu Afghanistan Suicide Attack Kills 13 Americans. Five troops and eight civilians were killed in central Kabul, by a suicide bomber driving a red Toyota Corolla.

They rammed the car into a vehicle that was in a military convoy, according to NATO’s International Security Assistance Force.

Also killed in the senseless bombing were four Afghans, including two students.

In another southern part of Afghanistan, a gunman wearing an Afghan army uniform turned his weapon on coalition forces during training, killing three soldiers and wounding several others. The shooter was shot and killed in the incident in southern Afghanistan.

Also, in another suicide attack in northeastern Afghanistan, a woman, around the age of 25, in a burqa detonated herself near the nation’s intelligence agency.

The suicide bomber tried to enter the National Directorate of Security, and was shot at, but she still was able to detonate herself.

In this incident, two officers and two civilians were wounded.

As you are probably aware, Afghanistan has been hit by a wave of high-profile attacks in recent months, including the September’s turban bomb assassination of former Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani, who was the father of the Mujahedeen movement that ousted the Soviets in the 1980′s. This has been one of the biggest blow to the peace negotiations.
