Is It Extrajudicial Killings Under Libya’s New Leadership When 53 Bodies Of Gadhafi Supporters Are Found In A Sirte Hotel? Was this the same as when almost a hundred Gadahfi supporters where killed the day that he was found, hiding in a tunnel in Sirte?

An ATO operation commander stated that, they “had no idea” Gadhafi was in attacked convoy.

Well, the Human Rights Watch is up in arms when they found the bodies clustered together at the Hotel Mahari in Sirte on Sunday. They found around 20 Sirte residents putting the bodies into body bags to prepare them for burial when Human Rights Watch found the bodies with their hands bound, and they were shot.

This area is now controlled by anti-Gadhafi fighters since the beginning of October, and residents identified some of the dead as Sirte residents and supporters of the exiled Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.

According to Peter Bouckaert, emergencies director of Human Rights Watch, “This requires the immediate attention of the Libyan authorities to investigate what happened and hold accountable those responsible.”

Officials with the National Transitional Council, which is Libya’s new leadership, were not available for comment.
