2011 National Spelling Bee Winner Is Sukanya Roy

The 2011 National Spelling Bee Winner Is Sukanya Roy, age 14, from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The word she won with was cymotrichous. She spelled it correctly, to win this years spelling bee.
For those of you who are as clueless as I am about the word, cymotrichous is an adjective, which means having wavy hair.

Miss Roy finished the word, which she admitted to knowing and then she broke out into a huge smile. She knew she had won.
