If your snoring sounds like NY’s Grand Central Station and even your neighbors are complaining about your snoring and the Nazi sound police have been to your house twice this month…then that snoring could be big red flag on the field or trouble ahead. .
Raucous snoring, as well as trouble falling asleep, waking your self up with your snoring and waking up unrefreshed, all mean you’re at a higher risk for Syndrome X.
Syndrome X is another name for metabolic syndrome, which can mean that you are probably going to be going down the road to heart disease, diabetes and strokes.
Statistics show that one in four adults in the U.S. has metabolic syndrome or syndrome X. Do the math Baby Boomers, that is 20 percent and of those 20 percent, many don’t have a clue about having Syndrome X or what metabolic syndrome symptoms are. Are you one?
What Are Metabolic Syndrome Symptoms
Until recently, the top symptoms for Metabolic Syndrome were bulging belly fat, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high triglycerides and low healthy HDL cholesterol.
Now researchers have added sleep troubles to the early warning signs. Such signs as serious snoring doubles your chances of metabolic syndrome or syndrome X and not only that, but…difficulty falling asleep increases your chances just about as much.
