With so many diets, it is no wonder that you might be wondering, What Is The Clean Food Diet.
So, let us tear it apart…we all know what diet means. I know that I do. But, what does Clean Foods mean?
Clean Food refers to those that are all natural and unprocessed. Eating clean is for those who so not want to consume chemicals and processed foods.
Although it is not necessarily, this is a low calorie approach to eating.
The Eating Clean Diet places an emphasis on the quality of the foods eaten.
It sticks to your basic food groups. It revolves around fruits, vegetables, meats and whole grains. But, the most important factor is that clean foods are carefully chosen.
Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are very important an also very essential part of any diet. But it is very important to choose vegetables and fruits carefully, when using the Clean Food Diet.
According to most studies, fruits and vegetables contain multiple pesticides even though they do not exceed safety allowances for a dose of a single pesticide.That is why it is important to eat organic fruits and vegetables, when on the Clean Food Diet.
According to Daily Green, if consumers eat their recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables, each day and if they eat those fruits and vegetables from the 15 most contaminated products, they could eat up to 10 pesticides every day. YUCK!
To avoid eating pesticides, make sure that you eat organic celery, peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries, nectarines, bell peppers, spinach, kale, cherries, potatoes, grapes, leafy greens, carrots, pears and tomatoes.
This is because they have thin skins and can absorb the poisons easier and quicker. Some think that it is not necessary to buy organic produce that have thick skins or that are peeled, like oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, bananas, avocados or mango’s. But. there still is the danger of chemical fertilizers.
Meats
Although it is unlikely that most meat products contain pesticide residue, some parts of the meats are more likely to contain chemicals than others.
Beef and Pork: The muscle is the cleanest part, where fats can contain up to 10 different pesticides.
Chicken:The thigh is the most contaminated part, so eat only white meat.
To Eat Clean Meat: Choose meats that come only from animals fed organic feed and not given hormones or antibiotics. Cleaner meats can be found from at a butcher, not your local big time supermarket.
Whole Grains
What are the Clean Whole Grains? They include wheat, brown rice, millet and barley. Look for breads that say 100 percent whole wheat or whole grains, not enriched or with enriched flour. Lots of whole wheat bread has enriched flour in it.
Enriched flour is flour that has been bleached. Do you want to digest bleach? Enriched breads have been processed, losing their important nutrients.
Other good grain options are muesli, oatmeal and whole-grain cereals.
Healthy Fats
Every healthy, balanced diet needs a daily dose of healthy fats. Good, clean fats come from foods such as avocados, olive oil, salmon, and raw nuts.
Eat Clean Diet Basics
You can see an amazing transformation by changing your diet and lifestyle to the Clean Diet.
Do not over cook your fruits and vegetables. Eat raw as much as possible to get more nutrients. Salads will taste entirely different without store dressings, you will actually taste what goes in your salad.
Do not miss a meal and especially do not miss breakfast. You might want to try eating smaller meals and more often.

Eating clean basically means that foods are selected from those in their natural state, unprocessed and whole. With out pesticides or preservatives or additives.
If you are looking for longevity, this would be the diet that I would choose and I think that I have tried just about every diet there is, since 1970.
What is The Clean Diet? It is the road to a longer, healthier life and it is a diet that you can lose weight and lose inches with.
