Dr. Mark Hyman, a Massachusetts physician who serves on the Board of Advisors of Georgetown University, states that, “As a physician, this is frightening to me. Depression is among the most common problems in medicine and soon will be the second leading cause of disability in this country.”
He continued with, “That means the results were twisted to imply the drugs worked when they didn’t. Millions of depressed people are being offered no effective treatments by most conventional practitioners.”
The knowledge that antidepressants are not particularly effective is nothing new. Other studies support this finding.
