Lorenzen Wright Update: At least half a dozen police cars sat outside Sherra Wright‘s Collierville house on Sunday, August 1, 2010, and people are asking “Did Sherra Wright Murder Lorenzen Wright?”
Detectives searched inside and out for clues into the murder of Sherra Wright‘s ex-husband, father of her 6 children, former Memphis Tiger and Memphis Grizzlies player, Lorenzen Wright.
Lorenzen Wright‘s bullet-riddled body was found in a field, near Sherra Wright’s apartment, in Southeast Memphis on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
Lorenzen’s mother reported her son missing on July 22nd, 2010. She stated that she suspected foul play.
Sherra Wright was the last person to see Wright alive, telling the authorities she saw him leave her home in Collierville on July 18th, 2010.
Investigators with the Memphis Police Department spent much of the day Sunday, searching Sherra Wright’s home for evidence. Neighbors saw them removing several items.
They were also in the backyard looking very carefully at Sherra Wright‘s grill and fire pit. Why? Because neighbors reported a large fire in her backyard after Wright’s disappearance. They all thought that it was very unusual and suspicious for Wright to light a fire on one of the hottest nights of the year.
A memorial service for Lorenzen Wright, is planned for Wednesday at the FedEx Forum, where the Grizzlies play their home games.
Did Sherra Wright Murder Lorenzen Wright? Well the authorities are still investigating. But perhaps we will learn soon. But on thing for sure, it would be a shame to have 6 children lose both of their parents.
