Why Is Ellen DeGeneres Is Leaving American Idol
Paula Abdul was the longtime judge on American Idol and last season was replaced by Ellen DeGeneres. But now, Ellen DeGeneres Is Leaving American Idol.
She states that, “it was hard to judge contestants and sometimes hurt their feelings.”
DeGeneres stated that she notified Fox and “American Idol” producers a “couple months ago” that the show wasn’t the right fit for her.
“It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”
“I loved the experience … and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”
In return, Fox and “Idol” executives said DeGeneres’ presence will be missed on the show.

I feel that she is so right for doing that for herself some how I knew she wouldn’t last long because you could tell by her body lauguage that she was not happy being there so she stepped up the plate and stopped being unhappy.
