Charles Manson Follower Leslie Van Houten Is Up For Parole

Most Baby Boomers remember what happened over 40 years ago in 1969 when Charles Manson and several of his followers when on a killing rampage. So, it goes with out saying, that when the headliners read “Charles Manson Follower Leslie Van Houten Is Up For Parole,” most Baby Boomers sit up and take notice.

A member of the notorious Manson family, Leslie Van Houten Is Up For Parole for the 19th time and your guess is as good as mine, as to whether or not she will get paroled. There are still family members of those that were so brutally slain that are still alive to protest.
Van Houten was convicted of first degree murder for 1969 slaying of Rosemary LaBianca and her husband Leno LaBianca to death. It was thought that she only held Rosemary LaBianca, down while others stabbed her repeatedly…but she openly admitted to stabbing Rosemary LaBianca 16 times.

The Manson clan did not kill only one person there were multi-killings and they had planned to kill even more. Their killings were senseless and cold and whether or not they are changed people now, they still must pay for their crimes. They would be dead now, had it not been for the fact that California changed it’s death penalty to life.
Is the old adage “An eye for an Eye,” correct?
Van Houten has been imprisoned at the California Institution for Women at Frontera for more than three decades, following her final conviction on first-degree murder charges in 1978 that carried a life sentence.
