11 Year Old Spends 44 Million In DUBAI, United Arab Emirates. Granted, todays standards of the American dollar is not what it used to be…but even by the standards of a city that celebrates extravagance, it was a spectacular shopping spree.

Real estate is always a good investment and at a time when the city is passing some financial concerns, I am sure that the two week shopping spree, early last year, when an 11 year old boy from Azerbaijan became the owner of nine waterfront mansions, it was a welcome investment.

The total price of nine waterfront mansions, came to about $44 million. Or you can figure that is roughly 10,000 years’ worth of salary for the average citizen of Azerbaijan. But the young man who owns a big chunk of some of Dubai’s priciest real estate, is anything but your average kid.

11 Year Old Spends 44 Million In DUBAI-Who Is He?

His name, according to Dubai Land Department records, is Heydar Aliyev.He is believed to be the son of Azerbaijan’s president, Ilham Aliyev. They have also verified this though his birthday. The owner’s date of birth, listed in Dubai property records, is also the same as that of the president’s son.

Somehow, I can’t quite see the American President Obama children shopping in this order.
