Terrorist Attack On Inbound International Fight foiled, when a passenger stopped Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23. after he ignited a small explosive device Friday, December 25th, 2009, just before the Northwest flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands, landed at Detroit Metro Airport in Michigan, USA.
Abdulmutallab had a device that was ignited and was on fire in his lap, but was quickly subdued when a passenger, Jasper Schuringa, with the aid of the cabin crew, helped subdue and isolate Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
The plane, in the assault was an Airbus 330, landed shortly before noon. It was carrying 278 passengers. It was Delta North West flight 253.
Authorities believe that the Terrorist Attack On Inbound International Fight suspected terrorist was acting alone and did not have any formal connections to organized terrorist groups.
Passenger Jasper Schuringa told CNN that with the aid of the cabin crew, he helped subdue and isolate Abdulmutallab.
Abdulmutallab was been taken into custody and is being treated for second and third degree burns on his thighs, according to federal law enforcement and airline security sources.
Abdulmutallab claims to have extremist ties and stated that the explosive device “was acquired in Yemen along with instructions as to when it should be used.”

Nothing really surprises me at all because no matter what you try to do to protect ourselves these people will be one step ahead of us all we can really do is PRAY everyday.
