98 Year Old Strangles 100 Year Old Nursing Home Roommate in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
The suspect, Laura Lundquist, 98, and the victim, Elizabeth Barrow, 100, were roommates at Brandon Woods Nursing Home in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
Authorities state that Laura Lundquist, strangled Elizabeth Barrow and that the two seniors had argued about a table Ms. Lundquist had placed at the foot of Ms. Barrow’s bed.
The Nursing home spokesman stated that Ms. Barrow declined offers to change rooms or roommates and that before the tussle over the room, the two women were like “sisters,” took daily walks together
98 Year Old Strangles 100 Year Old Nursing Home Roommate and a Massachusetts grand jury has indicted Laura Lunquist, who is accused of strangling her 100 year old nursing home roommate, on a second degree murder charge.
Elizabeth Barrow was found dead September 24th, 2009, with a plastic shopping bag tied loosely around her head and her autopsy showed that she had been strangled, not a suicide as thought previously.

This is a really sad story because if they had moved her like they should have none of this would have happen.
I worked in two (2) rest homes and when we knew that some people didn’t get along we would separate them so this kind of thing wouldn’t happen. Even if one or the other didn’t want that to happen we wouldn’t listen and separate them.
