Chumuckla Redneck Christmas Parade and Festival 2008

The Chumuckla Christmas Redneck Parade and Festival 2008 was at 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, December 13Th 2008. It lasted from 2 p.m. to until Sunday, December 14Th, 2008. This years events included a car and motorcycle show, music, food and craft vendors. This years redneck games included my favorites, cow patty bingo, a greased pig contest, the ever popular mullet toss, every house wives favorite, the frying pan toss, lots of sack races and finally to top it all off…redneck fishing.
Thousands lined the 2 mile stretch of streets to see this years, 250 contestants in the Chumuckla Redneck Christmas Parade. Folks came early to get a good seat and position to see the parade. The streets were lined with lawn chairs, pickups and ice chests waiting for the main event. This years event was a fine display of how to have a Redneck Christmas. A good time was had by all, as people came from far and wide to see the the National Annual Chumuckla Redneck Christmas Parade and Festival 2008
For those of you who do not know what a Redneck is, Southern comedian, Jeff Foxworthy defines “redneck” as “a glorious lack of sophistication,” stating “that we are all guilty of [it] at one time or another.” That about sums it up folks.
The main event, The Chumuckla Redneck Christmas Parade started at 2 p.m. This years entries included floats, horses, cars, bikes, cycles, boats, of course tractors and much, much more. The Parade was held at the Chumuckla Athletic Association, 2355 State Road 182, Chumuckla, Florida and for those of you who don’t know, that isĀ across the street from the Chumuckla Elementary School. For details on next years events, contact the Chumuckla Athletic Association at 407.994.8811 or The Pace Chamber of Commerce 407.994.9633.
Here is CNN News Video of this years Chumuckla Redneck Parade 2008.
For those of you who can’t seem to get enough of Chumuckla here is one of their local blogs, Chumuckla Now. Just in case the Annual Chumuckla Redneck Parade and Festival 2008, wasn’t enough. I would definitely rate this parade, a Jeff Foxworthy’s Redneck Christmas.
The Chumuckla Redneck Christmas Festival for 2009 will be … Sunday, December 13, 2009 2 p.m…until…it finishes.

Does this event raise money for those that died of a desease, or families that can not give to there children? Posted on http://www.fortmorganslammers.com web site, they are raising money from this event for the families that can not afford Christmas. Does this event hold such fund raising? Where would the money go if this band did raise money for the children?
Hello SKeevan,
I couldn’t find any information on this…there are a lot of Biker Clubs out there that have a lot of fun and do lots of charitable work. This one looks like it was their first festival/function.
I would contact them and see what they are up too…
Peace,
Sharon
