Maurice Clemmons Is Suspect In Killing 4 Washington Officers. He is suspect in the shooting deaths of four police officers was not found in an east Seattle home where authorities had tracked him, police said Monday.
Following a standoff and raid that stretched to nearly 12 hours, Maurice Clemmons was not found in the home in the Leschi neighborhood, according to Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel.
There is evidence that Clemmons was outside the home Sunday night, and had been dropped off at his residence, but apparently Clemmons had fled from his home.
Clemmons is sought in connection with what police called an “ambush” Sunday morning at the Forza Coffee Co., coffee shop near Tacoma in Pierce County, where 4 Lakewood police officers were killed.

Authorities searched homes in the Leschi neighborhood, and believed Clemmons was in his home. Though after searching the house, he was not there.
A robot was deployed to survey and scan, and a partial entry was made into the house with no response, he said. A SWAT team moved in and cleared the residence, but Maurice Clemmons was not found. Watch the video below to see the raid.
Maurice Clemmons Is Suspect In Killing 4 Washington Officers and early Monday, November 30th, 2009, authorities identified Maurice Clemmons as a suspect, rather than someone of interest.
Police were not seeking anyone else for this henious crime, but had arrested several people who had “helped” Clemmons.
Clemmons is a very dangerous and unstable person who has been in trouble with the law at an early age. Some of his charges are a 95 -year prison sentence in 1989 for a host of charges, including robberies, burglaries, thefts and bringing a gun to school.
His sentence was commuted in 2000 by the then Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee…who is running for the 2012 presidency. Also, he was arrested for aggravated robbery and theft, punching a sheriff’s deputy in the face and the pending charge of second-degree rape of a child.
