Rape Victims’ Parents Charged With Child Abuse in Phoenix, Arizona. The parents of an 8 year old Liberian (west Africa) girl who was sexually assaulted by four boys back in July of 2009, were arrested Friday, November 20th, 2009, on seven counts of child abuse charges.
The father, who was 59, and mother, who was 47, (names of the parents have been withheld to avoid identifying the daughter, who was a rape victim) were arrested Friday in Phoenix, Arizona on seven counts of child abuse for using sticks, wires and their fists to hit their young daughter.
Because their different culture beliefs, they felt that their daughter had brought shame on their family.
Rape Victims’ Parents Charged With Child Abuse when their daughter was left wandering their apartment complex alone at night, begging for food. She was raped by four boys, who took her to a shed and raped her.
The rapists were all younger than 14. The CPA investigation was based on documented incidents from the Phoenix Police Department and numerous referrals to Arizona Child Protective Services dating to 2005.
