Vicks Nasal Spray Recalled Over Bacteria after a small amount of product found to contain bacteria.

Vick’s company,  Proctor and Gamble, states that the bacteria poses little risk to healthy people.

So far, there have been no reports of illness from the bacteria, but I do not know about you, Baby Boomers. I do not want bacteria sprayed up my nose and years later my sinuses rot out.

Procter and Gamble is recalling Vicks Sinex nasal spray in the United States, Britain and Germany after finding it contained bacteria. The boxes and numbers are in the above article. The diseased Vicks Nasal spray was made at their Germany plant. All of the infected containers are 15 milliliter in size.

There have been no reported illness from the bad Vicks’ Nasal Spray containing the bacteria, but it could cause serious infections for people with weakened immune systems, like Lupus or those with chronic lung conditions such as cystic fibrosis.

In the United States
The recalled product is Vicks Sinex Vapospray 12-hour Decongestant Ultra Fine Mist with lot number 9239028831.

In Britain
The recalled product is Vicks Sinex Micromist Aqueous Nasal Spray with lot number 9224028832.

In Germany
The recalled product is Wick Sinex Schnupfenspray Dosiersystem with lot number 9224028833.

Consumers with the product should discard it, and they may call the company for a replacement coupon or refund, the company said. More information is at the company’s Web site, www.pg.com.

    This is why I wouldn’t put anything up my nose they only thing that belongs there is snot.

    Nothing surprises me to hear this because I don’t think anything should be sprayed up your nose if it could be avoided and that is a fact.

    One time I had to spray something up my nose because I allergic to smoking and in those days people were allowed to smoke in the offices. I asked the doctor if I could do it twice in one day and he didn’t like the idea but I had to because the person won’t stop smoking. I did it and shortly after that I didn’t know my name or where I was I never ever did anything like that again NEVER.
