Virginia Girl Sneezes 12000 Times A Day or about 16 times a minute…and her doctors are completely baffled.
Perhaps she needs some attention, but only being 12 years old and not being able to sit more than a few seconds with out sneezing is unusual.
Even though it is that time of year when everyone seems to be coughing and sneezing, this pre-teem from Virgina, on a regular day Lauren Johnson, 12, can sneeze more than 12,000 times a day.
“I can’t stop sneezing. It goes off about eight to nine times a minute,” Lauren stated.

The sixth grader, Lauren Johnson hasn’t been able to go to school and gone to six different doctors since the machine gun sneezing began.
No one has a diagnosis for Lauren, but one neurologist told the family Lauren’s condition could be “irretractable psychogenic disorder,” which is usually started stress.
There’s less than 40 cases ever documented ever in the entire world,it seems that no one really knows how to treat machine gun sneezing. They don’t know what’s going to work, if what has worked, will work for Lauren. Even when the sneezing stops, many times it comes back again and then you’re right back to where it began.

However, there are a few hours when Lauren does not sneeze and that us when she sleeps. Only in deep REM sleep does the machine gun sneezing turns off.

This might be a very painful growing pains but I am sure she not doing this for attention because she appears to get a lot of attention from her mom.
