Milwaukee Muggers Return Wallet After Seeing An Army ID and everyone walked away-all unharmed.
Is this an incident that would only happen in America?
A Milwaukee Army reservist’s military identification earned him “a Get out of Jail Free Card,” parse…
Tuesday, November 10th, four men who mugged the Army reservist at gunpoint and when they say his military ID, they returned his belongings and thanked him for his service.
The 21 year old University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee student stated that he was walking home from work about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, when he was pulled into an alley and told to lay face down and with a gun placed to his neck.
The haul was his wallet, with $16, his keys, his cell phone and a Power Bar wrapper.
It was a volatile situation until the four muggers saw the military ID and then the tone quickly changed. One of the four muggers, perhaps the leader, saw the Army ID and told the other muggers to return the items. They gave him all of his belongings back on the ground next to him, except for his keys.
“The guy continued to say throughout the situation that he respects what I do and at one point he actually thanked me and he actually apologized,” stated the reservist.
That night there were two other mugging within 40 minutes in the same area and police suspect the four men were involved in all those muggings as well.
