Ohio Rapists’ Fourth Victim Name Is Released-Nancy Cobbs, on Friday, November 6th, 2009. Her body was found on the property of the registered sex offender, Anthony Sowell.
Nancy Cobbs, 43, (see pic below) is the latest victim to be named. She was reported missing by her family, to the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority police in April of 2009. What they didn’t do was file a report with Cleveland police until Monday, November 2nd, 2009.
Anthony Sowell, who in 1990 pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted rape and served 15 years in prison, was arrested Saturday, two days after police discovered the first grouping black female bodies at his home.
Right now, he faces five counts of aggravated murder, rape, felonious assault and kidnapping and was denied bond at a hearing Wednesday, November 4th, 2009, and will be facing more criminal charges because authorities have discovered 11 dead bodies of women in his home.
11 dead people have been discovered. 10 full bodies and a skull of an 11th victim. The bodies were scattered throughout the property, six of the victims were found inside the home and five outside. The decapitated skull was wrapped in a paper bag and stuffed into a bucket in the basement.

The police initially went to Anthony Sowell’s home last week to follow up on a reported rape accusation. last October, neighbors reported seeing a naked woman fall from the second floor, but no charges were filed. The assaulted woman finally co-operated and gave the authorities enough information to warrant a search warrant.
Neighbors called 911 after the October 20th, 2009, incident. Firefighters and paramedics responded, and later notified the authorities. The woman told officers that she was at the home and “partying,” when she fell off the roof.
“They were doing coke, drugs, getting high,” Cleveland Police Chief Michael McGrath stated. A man described as her boyfriend (Anthony Sowell) told police the same story.
I bet that now she knows how lucky she was to be alive after being in that house of horrors. Her life probably saved countless others.
