UPDATE: Shooter At Fort Hood Is Alive and the earlier report, given by the U.S. Military was incorrect.
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan suspected of fatally shooting 12 and wounding 31 at Fort Hood in Texas on Thursday, November 5th, 2009, is not dead as previously reported by the military.
A female civilian officer who was wounded in the incident and was the officer who shot Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, also is not dead and is in stable but critical condition.
“Preliminary reports indicate there was a single shooter that was shot multiple times at the scene. However, he was not killed as previously reported,” Cone stated at a news conference
UPDATE: Shooter At Fort Hood Is Alive and he is the only suspect in the shooting that killed 12 and wounded 31. Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, opened fire at a military processing center at Fort Hood around 1:30 p.m. CT. November 5th, 2009.
Three others individuals were initially taken into custody for interviews have been released. The only shooter involved in the killings was Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.
