There have been thousands of cases of white women brutally murdered in the states that has gone largely unreported. When living in Europe I heard and read more about massive violent, homicidal crime towards woman than I ever did when returning to the states. This is far from the first time that a house has been used to torture and murder female victims. The facts on that type of crime are staggering and what's more staggering is the massively limited public exposure that it receives. Sorry, not so. The last victim that was named…her family didn’t even report her missing to the police until Monday. They had only reported her missing to the housing authorities.

As for being safe? Even our children are not safe. Our pets or our elderly. There are monsters that walk amongst us…

Should the whole country take pause for white women and nearly a half dozen Black women go missing in the same neighborhood and the media and the police just shrug it off? What is the value of a Black woman's life? 5 Black women's lives? Nearly a dozen women? How could police ignore the smell? Aren't they trained to know what human decomp smells like? Weren't they required to do more than a random drive by for a convicted sex offender? How safe are any of us, , , really? I agree.
