Church Janitor Held In NJ Priests’ Death

Church Janitor Held In NJ Priests’ Death and perhaps now, the neighborhood of Chatham Borough, New Jersey, can relax.
More information is coming out about the NJ Priest who was found Friday morning, October 23rd, 2009, dead, in the St. Patrick’s Church rectory.
According to the authorities, Rev. Ed Hinds suffered wounds on the front and back of his body. Re, Hinds called 911, while he was being attacked before the 911 call got cut off.
The suspect is Jose Feliciano, who has worked at the church for 17 years as a janitor. He was having a dispute with Rev. Hinds over employment and it escalated into Feliciano beating and stabbing the Reverend to death.
The authorities have charged the Church Janitor Held In NJ Priests’ Death. In fact, Jose Feliciano, 64, stabbed the Rev. Ed Hinds 32 times with a knife after the two got into an argument on Thursday. That is a up close and personal attack.
Feliciano faces two weapons charges, and a murder charge and has confessed to the murder of Father Hinds.
As far fetched as it seems, the priest’s body was discovered Friday morning in the rectory kitchen by Feliciano and others.
Rev Hinds autopsy concluded that Hinds died of “multiple sharp force injuries.” He had stab wounds to his upper torso and the back of his head. There were defensive wounds on his hands and contusions and bruises to his face.
Father Hinds called 911 from his cell phone at 5:11 p.m. Thursday, October 22nd, 2009, saying he was being attacked and asking for help. That call was cut off and the 911 operator called back…but…Feliciano answered and told the 911 operator that “every thing’s fine.”
Because the call was made from a cell phone, the operator couldn’t send authorities and the call could not be traced.
According to the authorities, Feliciano, made a half hearted attempt to do CPR in front of them. They state that it was truly bizarre. He made about two or three compressions and said something like, ‘he’s dead.
Other discoveries in the Church Janitor Held In NJ Priests’ Death,” where that Rev. Hinds’ cell phone had been used in Easton, Pennsylvania, about 40 miles west of Chatham. Using the cell towers to find the phone, investigators found Rev. Hinds cell phone in a park trash can, along with a T-shirt and some rags that where “saturated with what appeared to be fresh blood.
That particular trash can was only around 50 yards Feliciano’s home.
So, What Really Happened
Jose Feliciano told authorities that he entered the rectory around 5 p.m. Thursday, where an argument pursued between the priest and himself. They were arguing over Feliciano’s continued employment…”
First Feliciano beat Father Hinds, which caused the bruising on his face. Then, leaving Father Hinds on the kitchen floor, he went into the church to get a kitchen “steak or paring” knife. When he returned, he began stabbing the priest. Killing him.
After the slaying, Feliciano said he cleaned up the blood with rags and paper towels and put them in a black bag, which he put in the trash can, by his house.
Feliciano also stated that he threw away the knife after returning home and destroyed Hinds’ cell phone. the knife used, was found in a field near Jose Feliciano’s home.
BBAC sends it’s condolences out to Rev. Hinds family, friends and parishioners of St. Peters Church.

I figurered it was someone in the church that killed this Priest because of where it was done.
But what makes me ill is the fact it was someone who worked for the church for a very long long time that more than likely the Priest trusted of which makes even worse.
My mother worked for the church for over thirty yeasrs as the secretary and there were some people that I didn’t trust at all and I would often tell my mother when she was alone in the office to lock all the doors so nobody could get in without knocking first. So I can easily see this happening and that is a fact.
