Bernie Madoff Associate Jeffry Picower Dies At Age 67, which is not going to do any good for those who are trying to sue Jeffry Picower for the billions that he took from Madoff investments schemes.
Jeffry Picower, also known as a philanthropist, is accused of profiting more than $7 billion from the investment schemes of his longtime friend, Bernard Madoff. He was found at the bottom of his pool at his ocean side mansion, valued at 33 million. and died Sunday, October 25th, 2009. He was 67.
I would imagine that it is easy to be a philanthropist if you are using other peoples money.
His wife, Barbara Picower discovered Jeffry’s body in the pool and pulled him from the water, with help from one of their housekeepers.
He was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Medical Center at about 1:30 p.m., October 25th, 2009.
Palm Beach police are investigating the death as a drowning, but have not ruled out anything on the cause of death, until the autopsy comes back.
Picower had quite a few health problems, Parkinson’s disease and had he had heart related issues. His over all health was described as poor.
