NY Health Workers Will Not Receive Mandatory Flu Vaccinations or in other words, they have backed the heck down! Goo work NY health care workers.

According to state officials…New York public health workers will no longer be required to be vaccinated against both the seasonal and H1N1 flu virus, state because of a vaccine shortage.

What a big pile of swine flue-H1N1 bull poop! That was the only way that they would not loose face. But, who cares since the health care workers are not forced to take the pharmaceutical companies poisons.

According to a statement from Gov. David Paterson,  NY Health Workers Will Not Receive Mandatory Flu Vaccinations. The policy change was on behalf of State Health Commissioner, Richard F. Daines.

Daines had originally stated that public health workers must be vaccinated for the seasonal flu and the H1N1 virus or swine flu, by November 30th, 2009, or risk discipline action.

The Public Employees Federation, New York’s second largest state employees union, sued over the requirement and was awaiting a state Supreme Court hearing scheduled for October 30th, 2009.

So, Baby Boomers, the moral of the story is…”you can fight City Hall and win.” If all of the health care workers stepped out over this issue, there would have been a worse problem and the those involved know it.

There is a lot more to preparing for and preventing Swine Flu than just washing your hands and we can’t rely on an untested vaccine that is in short supply…
