Third Person Dies In Arizona Sweat box Case after being hospitalized from a sauna-like “sweat box.” Her death brings the fatality total to three.

Earlier, on October 8th, 2009, two people died and were 19 injured after spending up to two hours inside the “sweat box” at an Arizona resort called Angel Valley Retreat Center near Sedona, Arizona.

Third Person Dies In Arizona Sweat Box Case and she was Lizabeth Neuman, 49, from Minnesota. She died at the Flagstaff Medical Center.

At the time, there were around 65 visitors, their ages varied from 30 to 60.
The resort called the event “Spiritual Warrior.” The program was by self help expert James Arthur Ray.

How did this all happen? well, participants spent up to two hours inside the sweat box. The sweat box was a dome like structure, covered with tarps and blankets. Then hot rocks and water are used to create steam in the enclosed environment.

The something when horribly wrong…people started dropping like flies and fire and rescue officials received an emergency call from the resort. They transported the injured by air and land ambulances to nearby medical facilities, but the call was made too late, as two people were pronounced dead shortly after their arrival at a local medical center.

A homicide investigation into the incident is under way and it is believed that some formal charges will be presented soon.
