Colorado Weather Balloon Does Not Have Missing Boy

Colorado Weather Balloon Does Not Have Missing Boy when it landed near Keenesburg, Colorado, which is about 60 miles by road from Fort Collin, when the balloon was released.
People across the world watched the Internet, Thursday, October 15th, 2009, as a homemade balloon soared 7,000 feet over eastern Colorado. The whole time thinking that a 6 year old boy, was inside and that he had set it loose from his parents’ home, In Fort Collin, Colorado.
The balloon landed south of Prospect Springs, Colorado, that same afternoon…boy less.
So, the fate of the boy, identified as Falcon Heene, is unclear. Where is he? The balloon was in the air for more than an hour and a half.
One of the siblings states that he saw there brother get into the craft on Thursday morning, raising concerns that the boy may have fallen out of the balloon.
Larimer County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Eloise Campanella states that, “at this point, we are thinking that he did not fall out of the balloon and is somewhere on the ground and the basket itself, was not breached. It does not look like he fell out of it, but again, this is all conjecture.”
Colorado Weather Balloon Does Not Have Missing Boy and the local authorities are searching the neighborhood for the boy. They seem to believe that he will show up…that he is just scared that the balloon got away. You know how kids are…especially when they do something wrong.
Falcon’s parents, science enthusiasts Richard and Mayumi Heene, were featured on the 100th episode of ABC’s prime-time program “Wife Swap” in March of 2009.
There are those around the Internet that believe that the whole thing is a publicity stunt, in the want of public attention. But, as long as the child is safe…
The dome-shaped balloon, about 20 feet long and 5 feet high, appeared to be a Mylar-coated helium balloon, similar to a party balloon and it was tied to the boy’s family home.
Neighbors say the family working on the balloon and then it and the boy were gone…
Neighbors say that the family is not your normal neighbor…sort of a scientist slash inventor. They’re storm chasers and they go after tornadoes, hurricanes, things like that…
I hope that it is a hoax Falcon is safe and sound on the ground.
