Marge Simpson To Appear On Playboy in hopes of getting the 20 something readers. If those coveted 20-something readers can’t identify with a senior icon like Hugh Hefner, maybe they will with “The Simpson’s.”

Like nearly everything printed on paper these days, Playboy magazine has been facing tough times, with advertising dropping 31 percent over the last year, newsstand sales have shrunk by 25 percent, and its circulation has dipped to 2.4 million, according to publishing insider Media Industry Newsletter.

But, will Marge Simpson, a blue-haired mother of three deliver the iconic gentleman’s book to a new generation? Playboy will be working hand and hand with the folks over at “The Simpson’s” as part of the commemoration of The Simpson’s 20th Anniversary.

Personally, I do not get the cartoon era. To me it is just as cheap as black velvet art. But, I guess the Simpson’s are the next Rocky the Flying Squirrel Show. Remember them, Baby Boomers?

This is something that Hugh Hefner’s daughter has come up with. I just can not see Hefner thinking Marge as sexy enough to be put on his magazine.

Baby Boomers will see if the animated move can open the wallets of the younger generation.

The October 1971 issue featured Darine Stern, as the first black woman to pose on a Playboy cover. So, perhaps it is big hair and big boobs that makes the world go round…
