Americans Reconsider Columbus Day

Americans Reconsider Columbus Day…after all, he wasn’t even an American and the true Americans were killed and raped by him and his men, as the history books tell us. What did he bring to America? Slavery. So why should America celebrate Columbus Day?
Do you really want to celebrate the legacy of a man who committed heinous crimes against the Indigenous people of the Caribbean and throughout the Americas?
Americans Reconsider Columbus Day, because this is not just about history, but about a relevant issue today.
By honoring Columbus with a federal holiday, our government continues to vehemently insult Native Americans and perpetuates a philosophy of racism and domination.
Americans, speak up, take a stand, and help erase Columbus’ name from the federal calendar. He was not an American.
Take the day to honor the people who were really here first by petitioning for a nationally recognized holiday.
Americans Reconsider Columbus Day and go to ReconsiderColumbusDay.org. Sign their petition to stop honoring Christopher Columbus and Columbus Day.

My husband has often said this but it is up to people in much higher places to do something about this and maybe it will happen.
MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT WERE EFFECTED BY WHAT THIS MAN DID WAY BEFORE ALL OF US WERE BORN NOW AND FOR ALL TIME!!!
