FBI’s Most Wanted Captured In Mexico by Mexican federal police. Right off America’s 10 Most Wanted list, Mexican authorities have captured Jorge Alberto Lopez Orozco, who allegedly murdered his girlfriend and her two young sons.

Jorge Alberto Lopez Orozco was wanted in Elmore County, Idaho, on charges that he shot and killed three people. The charred remains of a woman and her sons, ages 2 and 4, were found inside a burned vehicle on August 11th, 2002. All of the victims had been shot in the head or chest before burned.

The FBI was still working to confirm the identity of the man in custody and an extradition order was issued back in January of 2007, for Jorge Alberto Lopez Orozco.

A reward of up to $100,000 was being offered by the FBI.

Jorge Alberto Lopez Orozco, 33, was captured in Zihuatanejo, a city northwest of Acapulco on the Pacific Coast in southern Mexico. He was transferred to a jail in neighboring Michoacan state to await extradition.

What Happened In America

According to the FBI, Jorge Alberto Lopez Orozco abducted his girlfriend, Rebecca Ramirez, and her two young sons from her father’s house in Nyssa, Oregon, on July 30, 2002. The car he had been driving was found nearly two weeks later on a rural road near Mountain Home, Idaho, torched with the three charred bodies inside.

Jorge Alberto Lopez Orozco’s brother, Simon Lopez Orozco, and Simon’s wife, Maria Cruz Garcia, have also been charged with accessory to first degree murder, in this case. Maria Cruz Garcia was arrested in California three years ago, but Simon Lopez Orozco is still on the lamb.
