The Innocence Project of Texas has raised questions about using sniffer dogs to single out potential suspects.
On March 16, 2006, Michael Buchanek found himself as a suspect in his friend and neighbors death, all because of a Dog Sent Lineup
One day he was free and the next he was accused of killing Sally Blackwell…all because of Dog Scent Lineups. Sally was found strangled to death with a rope and her body was left in a field five miles from her home and Michael Sally Blackwell’s murder.
Michael Buchanek was cleared when someone confessed to the murder and now there is a controversy over an investigative forensic tool called Dog Scent Lineups.
