UPDATE:Three Teenagers Charged In Chicago Teens Beating.

The teenagers are Eric Carson, 16, Eugene Riley, 18, and Silvanus Shannon, 19. All are charged with first degree murder of Derrion Albert and will be tried as adults. They are being held with out bond.

Derrion Albert was an honor student who was beaten to death last Thursday, September 24th, 2009. The whole incident was caught on a videotape (see below).

The following Monday there was a vigil held in Derrions honor. Another sad part of this story is that a memorial in Derrion’s honor was burned.

Teen violence is an issue coast to coast and children should not be afraid when they go or to and from school. It should be addressed.
