Jealous that he was using his mind? Maybe their warped “gansta” minds thought “He” thought he was better than them? Wouldn’t join their little boy p***y group who pretend they’re men? Bunch of losers who will never be anything else. Love to know where they get the guns, oh wait, us! were the ones who think everyone has the right to bear arms!
Hello Jo,
The teenagers were not using guns they had 2 x 4′s and they stomped and kicked Derrion. There were no guns.
This was not gangs fighting. This was about two rival schools.
Derrion has lost his life and the other young men have lost theirs as well. Their lives, as they know it is over.
The whole affair is horrible for all involved.
People especially those who are so young do not realize that the instant actions that we take during our lives, are usually the ones that affect our lives for the rest of our lives.
By the way…we do have the right to bear arms, it is our constitutional right to do so.
Criminals can always get guns…it is better to have a gun if you need one, than not. If you have ever awakened to someone in your house…you would know exactly what I mean.
Your comments are always welcome,

Good luck with the Olympics Chicago.

Boomer,
The 3 charged lost their lives too, but they deserved it. You call them young, but the youngest was 16? That is not young, they knew what they were doing. Being animals. They were worth nothing and I hope they fry. If they thought doing this was acceptable, they did not belong and society and I hope they rot in hell.
Nate
Hello Nate,
Mob mentality is a horrible thing…this young man was doing nothing but walking through and got pulled into the fight between two schools.
Think how many lives are affected with this. It is a horrible action that took more than the one life.

If memory serves, Chicago, specifically Cook County has among the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation. That’s not going to help, jurisdictions with strict gun control laws on the books tend to be hell holes.
Someone needs to put the fear of God into these young men, there seems to be a marked lack of respect for very basic things, to say nothing of entirely too much free time.
I did not see where any guns were involved in this instance…

The black community needs to call it like it is. We have a major problem in our communities that we don,t want to deal with. This has nothing to do with lack of opportunity. black folks in this country are the richest blacks on the planet. Last year we spent some 850 billion dollars. that’s not a poor people. We had far less 60-70 years ago and we wern’t doing this madness. These kids are savages. They can kill without remorse or feeling for the victim. black folks better stand up and put a stop to this insanity before the government does because if the government does it will be brutal. Then we’ll be crying about our rights being violated. I am to a point where I don’t give a damn what happens to these thugs. Get rid of them by any means necessary.
The black community lacks the passion to step up to the plate to go after crime for what it is, but dont worry,.Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will lead the charge for all blacks to step up to the plate to corral crime. I mean, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will get on the news media and bring a loud rallying cry about stopping the violence affecting the black community just like when they are trying to get mileage about making something into a racist hate crime, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson cares about the black communtiy right? Not just to line their pockets, but to step up to the plate for the black community and provide leadership even it non-rascist issues are at hand right? What does Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have to say or will their silence really speak for them about how much they really give a rats ass about a black kid killed in gang violence?
Hello Skeetz…
Jessie Jackson doesn’t do it for me. He quit speaking for black people a long time ago. He needs to wear a bandana and sell pancakes, because he isn’t selling what Afro American’s need any more.
