Yale Killing Update-DNA Links Raymond J. Clark III to the Annie Le murder. A DNA match linking Raymond J. Clark III to Yale student Annie Le led to his arrest on murder charges for the death of Annie Le, 24, a Yale student and lab worker.
September 17th, 2009, Raymond J. Clark III, 24, was arrested and charged with murder, in the strangulation death of Annie Le. His bail was set at $3 million.
Only hours after his arrest, Ray Clark appeared in court and did not enter a plea. Standing with chains on his ankles and his palms on the table, he looked only at the judge and spoke only to acknowledge that his rights were read to him.

Annie Le, 24, and a pharmacology graduate student, was last seen alive September 8th, 2009. She was seen entering a the four story lab at 10 Amistad St. One of Yale’s off campus buildings.

She was not seen leaving the building and not seen again, until her body was found inside the basement wall of the building Sunday, September 13th, 2009. The day that was to have been her wedding day to her fiance, Jonathan Widawsky.
The night she was strangled, a fire alarm in the building was pulled. Was it a diversion tactic?
When investigators reviewed security tapes from September , 2009, authorities began to focus on Ray Clark, who was recorded as looking distraught and holding his head in his hands.
Raymond Clark III’s job in the Animal Resources Center as maintaining colonies for animals used in research. The lab is in the basement of the building where Le’s body was found, strangles and stuffed behind a wall.
