45,000 Americans Die With NO Health Insurance

Nearly 45,000 Americans Die With NO Health Insurance in the United States each year. For those of you who do not want to do the math…that is one every 12 minutes.

WHY?  Mostly because they lack health insurance and can not get good care. This is a report done by the Harvard Medical School researchers.

“We’re losing more Americans every day because of inaction…than drunk driving and homicide combined,” states Dr. David Himmelstein, a co~author of the study and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard.

Overall, researchers stated that American adults age 64 and younger who lack health insurance have a 40 percent higher risk of death than those who have coverage.

45,000 Americans Die With NO Health Insurance and I am one of those who do not have coverage and there are many many more Baby Boomers who do not.

The report comes amid a fierce debate over Democrats’ efforts to reform the nation’s $2.5 trillion U.S. health care industry by expanding coverage and reducing health care costs.

Those of you who have been opposing the bill…look at the person next to you. They might not have health insurance. 12 minutes from now they might be dead. Over simplified perhaps but those are the figures.

FOLLOW THE MONEY…Remove the Stinking Filthy Rotten Profit from health care and there would not be 45,000 people dying each year from improper health care.

I have a friend who had a heath attack on the 1st of September, 2009, with two valves in his heart clogged 95 and 96 percent. They sent him home on the 5th day telling him that he needed open heart surgery and all they did was go up his legs and try to clear out his veins. Then they told him he could not work for 8 weeks. They sent him home because “he had no money and he had no insurance.

He works everyday sick or not and his job does not offer health insurance and he makes 8 dollars an hour.

Those of you who are vetoing this health reform bill…what would you do if the shoe was on the other foot?
