Patrick Swayze Could Have Been Saved With Alternative Medicine Beloved actor Patrick Swayze died September 14th, 2009, after a 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Having put his faith in conventional chemotherapy, he largely dismissed ideas that nutrition, superfoods and “alternative medicine” might save him. He believed like most that chemotherapy approach was the way to fight his disease.

Baby Boomers remember Patrick Swayze as a talented, dedicated actor and dancer, and his work brought joy to the lives of millions, world wide. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and fans.

But, we can learn from his death and many other celebrities who have died recently. Patrick joins many other celebrities who have been recently killed by pharmaceuticals or chemotherapy.

Peter Jennings died following chemotherapy for lung cancer.

Heath Ledger died following an accidental overdose of prescription medications.

Michael Jackson was killed by a doctor administered injection of lethal painkillers and sleeping medications.

Famed newscaster Tim Russert most likely died from the fatal side effects of cholesterol medications.

Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow died after receiving chemotherapy for colon cancer.

Bernie Mac was most likely killed by pharmaceutical side effects.

The list of celebrities only that were killed by modern western medicine is seemingly endless. Unfortunately, Patrick Swayze now joins that fast growing list of famous, endearing people who paid the ultimate price for their misplaced faith in “conventional” chemotherapy treatments.

No one can say that Patrick Swayze didn’t fight cancer harder or more diligently and totally optimistically than Patrick Swayze and his family did.

Even after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the most deadliest and fast acting cancer that there is, Patrick remained upbeat and enthusiastic about beating the disease.

He put more faith in conventional medicine and chemotherapy than perhaps anyone.
