Republicans Orchestrate Disruption at Health Care Meetings

Republicans Orchestrate Disruption at Health Care Meetings, all around the US.
A health care town hall meeting in Tampa, Florida on Thursday dissolved into bouts of heckling and violent pushing and shoving among those who attended.
The meeting in Tampa, which featured Democratic Congress woman, Kathy Castor and Florida State Representative, Betty Reed, was just another example of the tense battle lines that have been created in the passionate health care debate.
The Republicans can not beat the Democrats in the House, so the Republicans Orchestrate Disruption at Health Care Meetings across the nation.
Hundreds showed for the meeting at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County. There were people from both sides. Some were carrying signs railing against President Obama’s proposed health care reforms.
There were hundreds who were able to get into the hall meeting. and just as many were not able to get into the meeting room.
As Kathy Castor first began to speak, scuffles broke out as people tried to get into the meeting room. Parts of the congresswoman’s speech was drowned out by chants of “read the bill, read the bill” and “tyranny.”
Republicans Orchestrate Disruption at Health Care Meetings and at one point, an event organizer told the crowd, “If pushing and shoving continues, we will have to clear the room. The police will make the decision if it is still safe.”
At times outside the meeting, people tried to drown out pro-Obama chants of “Yes we can” with chants of “Just say no.”
There have been several other complaints as such meetings. White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs has accused Republican groups of “manufacturing” public anger.
Liberal groups have also started sending supporters detailed instructions on strategies to counter what they call organized disruptions of congressional health care town hall meetings.
Conservative groups and Republicans are critical of Democrats’ overhaul proposals have created their own plans, sending out information such as links to search engines; lists that relayed the locations of upcoming town halls. They have sent out confrontational questions to ask members of Congress and chants and slogans to use in and around the venues.
Obama met Thursday, August, 6th, 2009, with a key group of Democrats and Republicans at the heart of Senate negotiations.
The health care bill had a chance of passing.
The Clinton’s had such a fight, but they lost their fight for better health care. their fight was not as blatantly open nor was it spewed with such hatred.
The Bush administration spent billions on war. Why is it so hard to want to have health care for the nation. Those who are going to suffer the most are going to be Baby Boomers.
So, beware Baby Boomers, which side of the line you are standing on.
President Obama huddled behind closed doors at the White House with the group dubbed “Gang of Six,” three Democrats and three Republicans working to find middle ground on the issue.

I am a republican and I oppose the healthcare reform. But I have not been contacted or asked by any Republican opposition group to do this. How do you know this for a fact? I say that people are just upset of too much government control!
Hello Dianne T,
I am curious, why is it that you are opposed to health care reform?
If it would be not too personal, do you or your husband have health insurance?
The last time I had health insurance and I had to fight to get it as I can not get approved for insurance, because of health reasons…I was not allowed to go to a doctor to get care where I wanted it, I had to call in advance to get any kind of health procedure done and I could only go to doctors on their list…I don’t see where that is any different then health care reform.
Canada and England have had health care and I see no one who goes with out there. America is rated below just 33 other countries for health care. Yet we are supposed to be one of the top countries in the world. Even India rates above us.
Who will lose if this bill is passed? Insurance companies and doctors who get paid millions of dollars a year….but those doctors can still take private peoples. Follow the money…who will lose and who will gain?
In the area where I am staying right now…there are only 3 people who have health care. That does not include those children who are on state health care, as I am Florida…
Thank you for commenting Dianne and we hope to see and hear from you soon.
Please sign up for our email alert, if you haven’t already done so.
I would be so much happier if there was not democrats or republican parties. They divide the people not unite them.
Southern smiles and world peace,
