Discovery Channel’s 2009 Shark Week starts tonight with Blood In the Water. Will you want to go in the water again?

1916 shark attacks is also covered in a special. The 1916 shark attacks was the story behind “Jaws.” Pretty interesting stuff. Watch rouge sharks turn man eater. Some even though that the Germans had trained the sharks to attack Americans…that one cracked me up.

Discovery Channel’s 2009 Shark Week will also offers shark biting humor.

If that isn’t enough, there is a shark quiz…What shark are you? Discovery offers a “personality quiz” for you to figure out what type of Shark you might be. Then, with that great question answered, you can begin your TV viewing starting at 8 pm tonight, August 2nd, 2009, but they will be showing the specials all week.

The week kicks off with a two hour blood curdling special about the true story behind Jaws.

Then watch, “Blood In the Water,” an hour premiere, starts at 9 pm ET.

Discovery Channel’s 2009 Shark Week will show Survivorman, Les Stroud, as he takes viewers on a quest around to the world to find the hottest of shark hot spots.

Also, specialists, historians and personal accounts reveal the complexities of shark behavior and also show viewers the Great White shark, the oceans most mysterious and dangerous shark of all predators.
